Ex-Employee Claims HSBC Denied OT To Relationship Bankers

Law360, New York (June 11, 2012, 8:27 PM ET) -- An ex-HSBC Bank USA NA employee in Florida filed a proposed class action Friday accusing the banking giant of misclassifying a tier of bankers as exempt from receiving overtime compensation under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Plaintiff Daniel Hauer sued the bank in Florida federal court on behalf of a larger proposed class of relationship bankers, claiming that the company did not pay them time and a half wages for overtime hours.
