Law360, New York (July 03, 2012, 1:37 PM ET) -- Two Miami-area physicians convicted for their roles in a massive $205 million Medicare fraud and kickback scheme asked a federal judge Monday to reverse their convictions and grant them a new trial, claiming court errors before and during the trial compromised their defense.
A federal jury in Florida convicted Mark Willner and Alberto Ayala on June 1 of one count each of conspiracy to commit health care fraud, though they acquitted the two doctors of several additional counts of health care fraud.
