Monsanto’s $9M Seed Patent Win OK’d Without Treble Damages

Law360, New York (September 07, 2012, 8:59 PM ET) -- A Mississippi federal judge on Friday let stand a nearly $9 million jury award in favor of Monsanto Co. in its case over a farmer's alleged unauthorized use of the company's patented Roundup Ready seeds, but said enhancing the damages would be unjust.
