Law360, New York (November 21, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A patent suit against owners of the Universal Studios theme park over magnetic brakes was brought to a halt on Tuesday when the companies agreed to settle with patent-holding company Acacia Research Corp.
Acacia said on Tuesday that its Safety Braking Corp. subsidiary settled the matter with Universal City Studios LLLP and Universal City Development Partners Ltd., the parent company of Universal Studios Florida.
Neither side revealed the terms of the settlement agreement.
