Law360, New York (December 05, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Energy has decided to take more time to sort through and consider the thousands of responses it received to its plan to build two massive electric transmission corridors that opponents say will let power companies shrug off state objections.
More than 2,000 comments poured in and public meetings across the United States dragged on for over 60 hours after the DOE designated "national electric transmission corridors" in the northeast and southwest of the country in October.
