Balducci Snaps Up Plea Deal In Scruggs Scandal

Law360, New York (December 06, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- In a blow to Richard “Dickie” Scruggs, one of the Mississippi attorneys caught up in the growing bribery scandal surrounding the famed plaintiffs' lawyer has opted to change his plea to guilty and cooperate with prosecutors.

After entering a not guilty plea early Tuesday, Timothy Balducci reversed course later in the day and copped to one count of conspiracy to commit bribery of an elected state official.
