Law360, New York (March 07, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Several class action suits have been filed against North American producers of oriented strand board, with wholesale lumber companies lobbing allegations of conspiracy and price fixing at the strand board makers.
The suits, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, name companies like Norboard Inc., Weyerhaeuser and Georgia Pacific Lumber Co. The complaints allege that the companies conspired to fix the prices for oriented strand board beginning in June 2002.
