Law360, New York (June 23, 2015, 11:05 AM EDT) -- Executives, particularly chief financial officers, of multinational enterprises (MNEs) are finding themselves increasingly in difficult positions on the tax front. The most recent edition of the annual survey of CFOs of MNEs conducted by Taxand, an independent global organization of specialist tax advisers to multinational businesses, showed that 77 percent of respondents were of the view that the public exposure of corporate tax planning, if perceived as "aggressive," has a detrimental impact on corporate reputation. At the same time, many express the view that if their competitors are engaging in tax reduction strategies, then there is pressure on them to adopt similar strategies....
