Serco Snaps Up India's Intelenet For $633M

Law360, New York (May 31, 2011, 2:28 PM ET) -- The U.K.'s Serco Group PLC said Tuesday that it would buy Mumbai, India-based Intelenet Global Services Private Ltd. for up to ₤385 million ($633 million) in order to reach more customers in the private sector and in new geographic areas.

The transaction would give Serco access to a market for business process outsourcing services — estimated to be as big as $500 billion — that is expected to grow 15 percent annually internationally and 20 percent domestically within India, where the market could reach $2.5 billion...
