Law360, New York (September 02, 2011, 7:22 PM ET) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday approved a $5 million settlement that resolves two hard-fought consumer class actions over Hewlett-Packard Co.'s laser ink-jet printers, dismissing the objections of plaintiffs who argued the terms of the deal were unfair.
U.S. District Judge Andrew J. Guilford's approval follows a yearlong battle over the terms of the settlement, which gives class members Internet credits for new HP printers and printing supplies.
