Law360, New York (May 27, 2010, 12:39 PM ET) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has referred the issue of several Tylenol recalls by a Johnson & Johnson unit to the agency's Criminal Division, an FDA official told a U.S. House of Representatives committee Thursday.
Responding to a question from a lawmaker at a House Committee on Oversight hearing, FDA Compliance Office Director Deborah Autor said the Tylenol matter had been referred to the agency's crime office to determine whether a “potential criminal liability exists.”
