Law360, New York (December 17, 2010, 7:33 PM ET) -- Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., has reportedly asked the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to examine a contractor Johnson & Johnson used to produce some 13 million packages of Rolaids Softchews that were recently recalled.
In a letter to Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Margaret Hamburg, Issa requested that the agency look into the pharmaceutical maker’s use of contractor BestSweet Inc., according to the Wall Street Journal. BestSweet had not previously been identified as the maker of the recalled Rolaids antacids.
