Law360, New York (February 16, 2012, 11:23 PM ET) -- Philip Morris USA and R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. on Thursday won a verdict from a Florida federal jury that found smoking was not the medical cause of injury for a Florida man whose widow claimed he had died of smoking-related lung cancer.
The victory for Philip Morris, in the first Engle progeny case to go to trial in federal court, is the 12th victory for the company in the last 17 Engle trials, according to a statement by the firm Thursday.
