Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 5:44 PM ET) -- A regional administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency stepped down Sunday over remarks he made in 2010 comparing the agency's enforcement strategy against polluting oil and gas companies to crucifixion.
Al Armendariz left his post as administrator of Region 6 — which includes Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico and 66 tribal nations — after coming under fire for saying in a 2010 video that the EPA sought to make examples out of oil and gas companies that did not comply with environmental laws....
