Law360, New York (May 04, 2012, 7:06 PM ET) -- The U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors urged the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday to explore alternatives to a recently passed Senate bill that would further delay upcoming post office closures and service reductions meant to stave off impending bankruptcy.
At an open session meeting, postal officials voiced objection to the Senate’s 21st Century Postal Service Act, passed April 25, which would postpone the cancellation of Saturday delivery and limit the service’s ability to close revenue-losing offices and processing facilities.
