Dewey Loses Another Leader, Calif. Partners Open New Firm

Law360, New York (May 11, 2012, 2:14 PM ET) -- Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP’s partners continued scrambling for the exits Friday, as another member of the Office of the Chairman left to join Proskauer Rose LLP while a group of California partners departed to open a new intellectual property boutique.

Top bankruptcy partner Martin Bienenstock accepted an offer at Proskauer, his new firm said Friday. In addition to the top Dewey rainmaker, Philip M. Abelson, Irena M. Goldstein, Timothy Q. Karcher, Michael P. Kessler and Judy G.Z. Liu also joined the former Dewey leader at Proskauer....
