AUO, LG, Toshiba To Pay $571M In LCD Antitrust MDL

Law360, New York (July 11, 2012, 10:47 PM ET) -- AU Optronics Corp., LG Display America Inc. and Toshiba Corp. have agreed to hand over $571 million to indirect purchasers who claimed the companies fixed the prices of flat-screen panels, an attorney for the screen purchasers said Wednesday.

The amount includes a $543.5 million settlement, plus another $27.5 million in civil penalties that will be paid to eight states, according to the settlement. LG will pay the most, settling for $361 million plus $19 million in penalties, followed by AUO at $161.5 million plus $8.5 million...
