DLA Piper Strengthens Korean, IP Fronts With Latham Hire

Law360, New York (July 20, 2012, 12:21 PM ET) -- DLA Piper has augmented its intellectual property capabilities and plans to expand in Korea with the recruitment of a former Latham & Watkins LLP patent expert who will boost the firm's profile in its Los Angeles office, DLA Piper said Friday.

Franklin Kang, who was recently a counsel at Latham as part of its intellectual property litigation group and Korea practice, has been made a partner at DLA Piper, where he will serve in that firm's own intellectual property and technology group and Korea practice....
