Ex-Intel Engineer Gets 3 Years For Trade Secrets Theft

Law360, New York (August 09, 2012, 2:10 PM ET) -- A former Intel Corp. employee on Wednesday was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to stealing trade secrets that Intel says were worth more than $200 million.

Biswamohan Pani, an engineer who in April pled guilty to charges that he downloaded sensitive Intel documents and information before jumping ship to rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc., was ordered by a Massachusetts federal court to the prison term and an additional two years of supervised release.
