Law360, New York (August 15, 2012, 8:54 PM ET) -- A New York bankruptcy judge on Wednesday denied American Airlines Inc. parent AMR Corp.'s bid to reject a collective bargaining agreement with pilots and saddle them with tougher concessions.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane said that while AMR has shown that "significant changes" are necessary to its current collective bargaining agreement for reorganization, he could not approve AMR's proposal to expand its ability to furlough pilots and to use codesharing to expand the airline's network
