LG Can't Escape LCD MDL Despite Coming Clean To DOJ

Law360, New York (September 18, 2012, 9:54 PM ET) -- The California federal judge overseeing multidistrict litigation concerning a purported conspiracy to fix prices for liquid crystal display panels again ruled Tuesday that LG Display Co. Ltd. can't dodge claims based on its actions after it reported itself to authorities.

LG had asked for partial summary judgment, arguing that it wasn't liable for any claims brought by retailers and other plaintiffs after it reported its actions to the U.S. Department of Justice, since it effectively withdrew from the alleged conspiracy.
