Law360, New York (September 28, 2011, 4:54 PM ET) -- An Indiana federal judge on Monday refused to acquit a former Indianapolis city councilman after a jury found him guilty of bribery and attempted extortion for soliciting cash and campaign contributions in return for a strip club zoning permit.
U.S. District Judge Larry J. McKinney denied Lincoln Plowman's motion for acquittal in a brief order, saying there was enough evidence to uphold his Sept. 15 conviction.
