Holder To Face House Contempt Vote Wednesday

Law360, New York (June 19, 2012, 7:18 PM ET) -- U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder was unable Tuesday to head off a looming House of Representatives contempt vote over his refusal to give lawmakers documents about the Justice Department's now-infamous "Fast and Furious" gun-walking investigation.

Holder met with Rep. Darrell E. Issa, R-Calif., who chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Tuesday evening to see if they could work out an agreement before the congressman proceeded with his plans to hold the contempt vote.
