Law360, New York (July 12, 2012, 5:54 PM ET) -- The mayor of Hamilton Township, N.J., pled not guilty Thursday to charges that he solicited and accepted $12,400 in bribes to influence a local school district's award of a health insurance brokerage contract.
John Bencivengo lodged the plea during his arraignment before U.S. Judge Anne Thompson in Trenton federal court. The trial in the case tentatively has been set for Nov. 5.
