NY State Senator Denies Evidence Tampering Charges

Law360, New York (August 27, 2012, 5:59 PM ET) -- New York State Sen. Shirley Huntley pled not guilty Monday to allegations that she falsified business records and tampered with evidence to throw off state investigators in their probe of her nonprofit organization's alleged misuse of state tax dollars.

The plea came on the same day that New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli announced a superseding indictment against Huntley, charging her with falsifying business records, conspiracy and tampering with a state investigation of alleged fraud at her nonprofit Parent Workshop Inc....
