Drug Wholesalers Denied Class Cert. In AndroGel Suit

Law360 (July 17, 2018, 9:22 PM EDT) -- A Georgia federal judge on Monday denied a bid by a group of drug wholesalers to win class certification in a suit alleging several pharmaceutical companies conspired to delay the entry of generic competitors for testosterone drug AndroGel.

U.S District Judge Thomas W. Thrash denied a certification motion from direct purchasers of AndroGel, including Rochester Drug Co-operative Inc., Louisiana Wholesale Drug Co. Inc. and Meijer Inc., who allegedly paid higher prices for the drug because of the scheme. Branded drugmaker AbbVie Products LLC and generics companies...
