Expect MiFID Changes After Brexit, French Regulator Says

Law360, London (October 1, 2018, 6:06 PM BST) -- A senior French market regulator said Monday that major changes will need to be made to European transparency rules after the U.K. leaves the European Union in March 2019.

Robert Ophele, chairman of France’s Autorite des Marches Financiers, said Brexit will force the EU to undertake a review of the revised Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, or MiFID II, which came into force in January after seven years in the making.
