Gerson Lehrman FLSA Suit Gets Preliminary Cert.

Law360, New York (January 7, 2010, 6:11 PM EST) -- A federal judge has granted a bid for preliminary collective action certification from an ex-employee of consulting firm Gerson Lehrman Group Inc. who accused the company of failing to pay its research associates the federally mandated premium rate for overtime hours.

Judge P. Kevin Castel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York issued a memorandum and order on Wednesday granting plaintiff Jeffrey Cohen's motion for preliminary collective action certification of his Fair Labor Standards Act claims.
