Insurers Resolve Lifeline Coverage Dispute In 6th Circ.

Law360, New York (March 5, 2010, 1:14 PM EST) -- Lifeline Health Group Inc. has released AIG Domestic Claims Inc. and National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., from an appeal in litigation over the insurers’ refusal to provide coverage for losses stemming from a series of suits over employment issues and the company’s health plan.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit ordered the dismissal of the case Thursday, noting that Lifeline, a parent for several health services companies, and the defendants had resolved the issues on appeal.
