Shareholder Suits Over Genoptix Sale Consolidated

Law360, New York (April 7, 2011, 4:44 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday consolidated two investor class actions against laboratory services company Genoptix Inc., which Novartis AG agreed to buy for $470 million in January, and appointed Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP as lead counsel.

In addition, the City of Ann Arbor Employees’ Retirement System will serve as lead plaintiff, ordered Judge John A. Houston of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. The appointments and consolidation were unopposed.
