Court Rejects Ex-Fannie Mae CEO's Bid For Relief

Law360 (April 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Former Fannie Mae Chairman and CEO Franklin Raines’ bid to force the director of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight off of the agency’s case against Raines and two other ex-Fannie Mae executives has been shot down by an appeals court.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit denied Raines’ petition for a writ of mandamus Friday, holding that Raines had not “shown a clear and indisputable right to the requested relief.”
