Judge Urges Continued Talks In Tribune Ch. 11 Fight

Law360, Wilmington (June 28, 2011, 3:25 PM EDT) -- After concluding nearly three months of bitterly contested plan confirmation hearings, the judge overseeing Tribune Co.’s bankruptcy in Delaware urged warring creditor factions on Tuesday to continue settlement discussions.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin J. Carey said he would begin work on an opinion deciding between the two competing reorganization plans right away, and had cleared much of his schedule in the next month to work on the decision, but suggested talks nonetheless.
