Boeing Settles Ex-Flight Attendant's Toxic Fumes Suit

Law360, New York (October 7, 2011, 5:15 PM EDT) -- Boeing Co. said Friday that it had settled with a former American Airlines Inc. flight attendant who claimed a design defect in Boeing's plane exposed her to toxic fumes, causing long-lasting illnesses that kept her from returning to work.

The confidential settlement ends a legal battle that Terry Williams and her husband Gary Williams had been waging against Boeing and its subsidiary McDonnell Douglas Corp. in Washington court since 2009.
