NY Court Affirms Judgment Against Sheldon Solow's Co.

Law360, New York (November 1, 2011, 11:08 PM EDT) -- A New York appeals court on Tuesday affirmed a lower court’s $1 million judgment against real estate developer Sheldon Solow’s company in a suit in which it accused the former leaseholders of a Madison Avenue building of fraudulently inflating rent.

A five-judge panel for the Appellate Division of New York Supreme Court, First Department, agreed with Judge Marcy Friedman’s decision to impose over $1 million in legal fees against Solow’s company Tag 380 for the “egregious frivolousness” of its suit.
