Kirkland Reps Advance Auto Parts In $2B Rival Buy

Law360, New York (October 16, 2013, 2:59 PM EDT) -- Virginia automotive company Advance Auto Parts Inc. has agreed to acquire rival General Parts International Inc. in an all-cash deal valued at $2.04 billion that will create the largest automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America, Advance said Wednesday.

Based in Raleigh, N.C., General Parts is a privately held distributor and supplier of original and aftermarket auto parts operating under the popular Carquest and Worldpac brands.
