'Noah' Builds An Ark For NY Tax Breaks

Law360, New York (March 27, 2014, 7:05 PM EDT) -- The Motion Picture Association of America and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo teamed up on Thursday to tout the tens of millions of dollars that filming the movie "Noah" brought to New York, despite hullabaloo from tax analysts who insist the tax breaks are wasteful.

Paramount Pictures' blockbuster ‘Noah” is responsible for more than $60 million in spending and almost 2,000 jobs in New York state, according to the MPAA. Those jobs brought more than $30 million in wages paid in the Empire State.
