TomTom Misses EU Deadline For Antitrust Plan

Law360, New York (April 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The deadline set by European Commission regulators has passed, but navigation device maker TomTom NV has not yet submitted a plan for addressing antitrust concerns in its pending €2.9 billion takeover of digital-map company Tele Atlas NV.

EC antitrust officials said on Friday that since TomTom has not submitted any remedies for the concerns expressed by regulators, the May 21 deadline by which the commission must clear or block the deal will stand.
