'Godfather' Author's Son Sues Paramount Over Game

Law360, New York (June 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The son of “The Godfather” author Mario Puzo has sued Paramount Pictures, claiming that the Puzo estate's share of profits from a video game based on the novel is sleeping with the fishes.

Anthony Puzo filed the suit Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to numerous news reports. He alleges that Paramount breached a 1992 contract with his father in which the studio agreed to give Puzo a “significant share” and any “audiovisual products” associated with the “Godfather” films.
