The Supreme Court has given a sex offender enhanced sentencing credit for the time he spent confined pretrial at a mental health facility in a 9-0 decision, which also greenlights sentencing judges to take into account the expected time needed for an offender to complete institutional rehabilitative programs & treatment, if supported by the evidence: R. v.
