Rapper Arrested By ICE Has Pending Visa Petition, Atty Says

Law360 (February 4, 2019, 8:26 PM EST) -- Atlanta rapper 21 Savage was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and detained without bail despite his pending visa application for protection as a victim of criminal activity, his attorney said Monday.

In a statement, Charles H. Kuck of Kuck Baxter Immigration Partners said that the rapper, whose birth name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, has a U visa application pending with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and “relief from removal available to him.”
