Mooring Maker Can't Shield Disclosed Docs In Insurance Suit

Law360, London (July 13, 2018, 5:07 PM BST) -- Aspen Insurance can use documents disclosed to it by Single Buoy Moorings Ltd. in its trial with the offshore moorings company over insurance payouts from a damaged oil rig after a London judge ruled Friday the documents are not bound by legal privilege.

High Court Judge Nigel Teare decided the insurer could rely on documents from January and March 2012 said to have been mistakenly disclosed by Single Buoy Moorings, or SBM, to Aspen Insurance U.K. Ltd. in the three-month trial set to start in October....
