Indeed, it was an intentionally tantalizing but earnest question, which pondered whether jurors would be more likely than they already were to disregard facts and evidence that did not conveniently line up with their beliefs. I started collecting data to see whether the typical juror was tracking the issue, and whether it seeped into deliberations in our research and/or in post-trial interviews....
