Teva Atty Says He Was Axed Over Family-Support Payments

Law360, Philadelphia (August 19, 2014, 2:31 PM EDT) -- A former senior counsel at Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. sued the generics producer in Pennsylvania court Monday, alleging that he was fired after the company received notice that his salary was being garnished for family support obligations.

Kai Lyman, who formerly held the titles of senior director and senior counsel, legal affairs at Teva, alleges that he lost his job with the company in September based on the false pretense that his position was being eliminated. He says that in reality, it followed a Family Court order allowing garnishments for the support of his estranged wife and his two children....
