U.S. District Judge Williams G. Young, in a decision that showed substantial deference to Federal Aviation Administration regulations and its unmanned aircraft systems ("UAS") "Fact Sheet," found most of the city's ordinance to be federally preempted, since it "essentially constitutes a wholesale ban on drone use" and was an "interven[tion] in the FAA's careful regulation of aircraft safety."...
