Deals Rumor Mill: AB InBev, Monte dei Paschi, McDonald's

By Benjamin Horney (December 6, 2016, 7:27 PM EST) -- The list of suitors still vying to buy a group of beer brands being sold by Anheuser-Busch InBev NV has been whittled down after Bain Capital decided to take its hat out of the ring, according to a report from Reuters on Tuesday. According to the report, Japan's Asahi Holdings Inc. is leading the pack in the race to buy the brands, which include Pilsner Urquell in the Czech Republic and Lech and Tyskie in Poland. A deal could be worth as much as $6.4 billion, the report added. Reports last month said that a group led by Swiss investment outfit Jacobs Holdings AG was also still in the running....
