Delta Building Automation court decision sends message on bid rigging: Australian watchdog

( August 29, 2025, 02:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australia’s antitrust watchdog has welcomed today’s court ruling that rejected attempts by Delta Building Automation to overturn a competition-law finding against it. In a statement, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that today’s decision by an appeals panel of the Federal Court of Australia, sent a strong message on the seriousness of anticompetitive behavior, including bid rigging. The penalties imposed on Delta and its manager Timothy Davis “serves as a reminder of the significant consequences facing businesses and representatives who engage in or attempt to induce cartel conduct, even where the attempt fails,” the regulator said in the statement. The full statement from the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission follows: ...
