Law School Admission Council moves to dismiss student's US antitrust claims

( October 9, 2025, 23:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Law School Admission Council moved to dismiss a student's US antitrust claims accusing it and 197 nondefendant law schools of conspiring to fix application fees, arguing the plaintif wrongly deems LSAC's operation of its application platform "both the product of a supposed price-fixing agreement among the Member Law Schools and also exclusionary conduct to support LSAC’s supposed monopoly." The plaintiff is "miles short" of alleging either, with no plausible allegations of concerted action, an implausible conspiracy as alleged, and no plausibly alleged restraint of trade, the motion to dismiss filed to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said.See attached file....
