Italian cast-iron cartelists and trade association fined €70m

Camozzi Group-owned Fonderie Mora Gavardo, ZML Industries and its parent company Cividale, EF Group-owned Pilenga Baldassare Foundry and C2MAC Group received the biggest fines. The watchdog halved fines to reflect the recent crisis in the sector, while setting Assofond’s penalty at €2 million.Sixteen metal smelters operating in Italy, together with their trade association Assofond, have been fined a total of €70 million, for coordinating increases in list prices for cast-iron castings....
