South Korean job portal Incruit fined for massive data breach

( October 23, 2025, 05:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: South Korean job portal Incruit has been fined 463 million won ($322,000) by the country's privacy regulator for a massive data breach that compromised the personal data of all 7.3 million users. The Personal Information Protection Commission also ordered the company to appoint a new chief privacy officer with relevant expertise and to provide support measures for affected users. The hacking attack exposed 438 gigabytes of data, including names, contact information, education, work history, military service and disability status, including 54,475 resumes and certificates. The statement, in Korean, is attached....
