EU financial entities see updated framework for third-party risk management

( September 18, 2026, 09:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EU financial entities are facing updated European Banking Authority guidelines for managing risks from external service providers. The rules focus on arrangements supporting critical or important functions and cover due diligence, contracts, subcontracting, monitoring, documentation and exit planning. They are intended to ease requirements for lower-risk arrangements while creating a more consistent framework, the EBA said.
